STRA
Stra (Michele Marchetti) is an architect, visual designer, DJ, and electronic music producer active since 1994. As the resident DJ of Raheem, he hosts the program Atlas, a timeless journey exploring soundscapes crafted by vintage synthesizers and modern drum machines.
Throughout his career, he has performed at prestigious events curated by prominent figures and institutions such as Rem Koolhaas, the Guggenheim Museum, Stella McCartney, Vitra, the Venice Biennale, and the Milan Triennale. He has also played at renowned festivals like Robot, Nextone, and Jazz:Re:Found.
He is a long-standing musician and a member of the Antmill collective, promoted by Fondazione Pistoletto, as well as the electronic duo Skillaci, with whom he has remixed tracks by Nico Vascellari and Dan Deacon. His work also includes remixes and re-edits for artists like The XX, Prinzhorn Dance School, Cornelius, XXYYXX, and Colapesce, alongside collaborations with Eartheater.
Beyond music production, Stra wrote the sci-fi theater piece Passeggiata sulla Luna and played keyboards for the Italian band Amor Fou during their 2012 tour. He composed the soundtrack for Nightswimming by Giovanna Silva, presented at the Venice Art Biennale, and for the documentary N-AGUA by Martina Rosa. Since 2015, he has directed Display, a studio specializing in communication design.
